Lead Designer & Project Manager
As the Lead Designer and Project Manager for the museum's founding tour experience, I led the project through its 13-week lifecycle, with an initial 3 weeks of design and 10 weeks of development, for our client, the Brooklyn Seltzer Boys, which now also operates as the Brooklyn Seltzer Museum.
Since the launch of the founding exhibits in May 2023, Brooklyn Seltzer Museum has gained extensive media coverage, including in The New York Times, and has been selected to participate in initiatives such as Open House New York, attracting over 250 visitors from diverse backgrounds in just one weekend.
The museum tour experience was loved by many: 95% of visitors enjoyed their experience and would recommend it. Thousands have signed up for the mailing list.
laser-cut wood puzzles,
signage for four seltzer producing machines,
a digital app with interactive 3D models of the machines,
3 fully produced videos that tell different stories of seltzer.
a photobooth, message board, and customer storybook
These components, among others, transformed the factory space into a engaging and educational visitor experience.

We conducted multiple site visits to the Brooklyn Seltzer Boys factory to gain firsthand insights into their unique processes and challenges. Through comprehensive interviews with all stakeholders and the Subject Matter Expert, we pinpointed the client’s core needs: preserving the tradition of old-fashioned seltzer making and educating the public about seltzer culture.
By conducting a thorough literature review and engaging in informal interviews with the business owner, we also gained insights into the needs of diverse visitors. We discovered that visitors sought a fruitful experience that is fun, novel, and educational.
This empathetic approach helped us pinpoint our project learning goals, ensuring that we valued and combined the needs of all stakeholders effectively.

I designed the wooden puzzles that were laser cut and created the signage for the museum, using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other image editing tools.
As the lead designer, I also played an advisory role, providing feedbacks for the video production, digital app, photo booth, and other design elements. I ensured that all elements were cohesive and aligned with the overall learning goals of the project.
As the Lead Designer, I closely collaborated with the Project Manager to ensure the timely delivery of all project materials. We created Gantt charts and a detailed timeline to outline design and development milestones, including feedback and sign-off points from our client.
Besides providing design support to various working groups, I also conducted quality assurance for all deliverables before presenting them to the clients for approval.
Additionally, I coordinated with multiple vendors to ensure the smooth production and manufacture of physical materials such as signs, posters, and laser-cut products.
My diverse skills in image and video production, copywriting, digital fabrication, and programming allow me to effectively connect different teams within the project. I understand the unique progress and challenges of each group, ensuring smooth collaboration and integration.
By prioritizing clear, jargon-free communication, I ensure that all stakeholders, regardless of their technical background, can understand the project's status and needs.
By holding weekly progress meetings coupled with site visits, and using various communication methods like chat, email, and text, I fostered an inclusive and transparent environment, promoting shared understanding and collective progress.
